Coach Jake Christensen leads the Lady Dukes 12U team with a strong focus on player development, competitive preparation, and building athletes from the ground up. With five years of coaching experience, Jake is committed to creating a high-standard, high-effort environment where athletes can sharpen their skills and grow into confident, game-ready players.

Coaching Background

Jake has coached at the youth level for multiple seasons, including experience as both a head and assistant coach in competitive fastpitch. He’s known for his structured practices, clear communication, and belief in building a strong foundation in the early years of an athlete’s journey. As Head Coach of Lady Dukes 12U Christensen, he focuses on:
  • Teaching strong fundamentals in throwing, hitting, fielding, and base running
  • Reinforcing team accountability and leadership on and off the field
  • Preparing players for the mental and physical demands of competitive travel ball
  • Building a team culture that values effort, energy, and focus
Jake’s leadership is centered on more than just game results. He’s passionate about helping athletes develop life skills through softball—resilience, communication, and pride in the process.

Coaching Philosophy

Jake coaches with the big picture in mind. He believes youth softball is a space where players can learn how to work hard, lead by example, and build the confidence they’ll carry with them into high school and beyond. His approach is honest, hands-on, and focused on setting expectations that help players level up each week. He wants every athlete on his team to be challenged, supported, and proud of the progress they make.
