Director, Coaches Bobby Lawrence

Bobby Lawrence serves as Vice President and Director of Coaches for Lady Dukes Softball Club – Klippert, where he brings decades of leadership experience in business, martial arts, and competitive fastpitch. He plays a key role in guiding the club’s coaching staff, supporting program structure, and helping set a standard for development across all age levels.

A longtime advocate for youth sports in Kitsap County, Bobby has been instrumental in building opportunities for athletes to grow, compete, and prepare for the collegiate level.

Coaching and Leadership Background

Bobby has been coaching since 1999, with a wide-ranging background that includes both combat sports and fastpitch softball. He is the former President of the Kitsap Titans Fastpitch Organization, where he led the program through years of regional competition and college recruiting success.

In 2019, he was named Head Coach at South Kitsap High School, where he continues to coach in one of the most competitive leagues in the state. Under his leadership, the Wolves have reached the postseason in every year of his tenure. Bobby was named SPSL Coach of the Year in both 2023 and 2025.

In 2025, Bobby helped lead the merger between the Titans and Lady Dukes Softball Club – Klippert, expanding the program’s access, visibility, and network across the Pacific Northwest.

His coaching style focuses on discipline, preparation, and empowering athletes through structure and accountability. He works closely with each coach in the Lady Dukes system to align expectations, elevate training, and create a consistent experience for players and families.

Athletic and Business Leadership

Before softball, Bobby spent years as a competitive martial artist and coach. He owned and operated Full Circle MMA in Bremerton, where he trained both amateur and professional fighters, including several title holders who competed across the country. His background in martial arts brings a unique perspective to coaching, especially when it comes to mindset, grit, and performance under pressure.

Bobby is also the owner of Suntoya Corporation, a business with operations in Spokane, Kent, Portland, and Anchorage. His leadership in business translates directly into how he operates within the Lady Dukes program — always focused on growth, efficiency, and building something that lasts.

Focus and Philosophy

Bobby is a coach and director who holds high standards and believes in doing the work. He leads with purpose and expects the same from every coach and athlete in the program. His goal is to give players real tools for success — both on the field and in life.

In 2023, he founded the Bobby Lawrence Foundation, which supports scholarship opportunities for female athletes pursuing college athletics.

Family and Athlete Advocacy

Bobby lives in Port Orchard, Washington, with his amazing wife Vickie. His two daughters both competed at the collegiate level. Tia played volleyball at Bellevue College, and Jordynn played Division I softball at Bethune-Cookman University and Furman University.

His experience as a sports parent, coach, and director gives him a full-circle view of what athletes need to succeed at every level.
